Stresses caused by thermal gradients of γ ray absorption in bimetallic spherical containers
Analogies between laws that govern phenomena of heat conduction and elastic stresses in solids and those for diffusion and stresses in viscous fluids are discussed; heat development in steady condition, isotropic and absorbing medium, limited by spherical surface and crossed by monoenergetic γ-rays with radial direction in every point; solution of problem of temperature distribution, for spherical bimetallic container, is obtained which is utilized for determination of thermal stresses in elastic condition.
