Prestressing of open-web trusses
Truss analysis was carried out to study how deformation stresses which are in plane of main truss only affect primary stress; rigid joints were assumed and slope-deflection method of analysis was adopted; ratio of secondary stress to primary stress difficulties created by process of prestressing in all stages of design, fabrication and erection are discussed.
