Use in P.C.Structures of lightweight-aggregate (Lytag) concrete
Test results of modulus of elasticity, modulus of rupture, shrinkage, creep and transmission lengths of Lytag concrete are discussed with reference to its suitability for prestressing; it is shown that losses of prestress in pretensioning are high, but not prohibitive if small diameter wires are used; large diameter bars can be used for post-tensioning if initial concrete stresses are limited to 1000 psi.
