Rebuilding of trisanna bridge
Superstructure of Austrian railway bridge, with 120 m long central steel span over gorge of Trisanna River, on Arlberg line, has been replaced by modern design of similar appearance while old masonry approach spans are retained; traffic was interrupted less than 24 hr by building new bridge beside old one and traversing both simultaneously; this procedure is explained.
