Field tests of three-span continuous highway bridge
Continuous I-beam bridge of non-composite design located on Route 87 in Moniteau County, Missouri was subjected to several series of static and dynamic tests; strains and deflections in each stringer were recorded continuously during tests; moments in bridge were calculated from experimental strains by taking into account semi-composite nature of structure; these moments and measured deflections were compared with those calculated by elastic analysis; nature of semi-composite behavior was studied.
