Dynamic tests of three-span continuous I-beam highway bridge
Acceptance of composite bridges is shown by increased use of composite steel and concrete design; in composite steel stringer bridge with reinforced concrete slab, roadway slab is used not only to transfer load laterally, but also to form composite section in conjunction with longitudinal steel stringers; attempt to determine experimentally live load stresses in cover plate termination region from which stress-frequency curves for in-service loading can be obtained.
