Small precast concrete pieces make up medium span prestressed bridge
Design and construction of prestressed concrete bridge built in Mexico using unusual techniques are discussed; 130 ft central span was made with small precast pieces; bridge was designed so that erection could be performed without use of falsework or cranes; some considerations for using same design technique for larger spans and wider decks are presented; total and unit costs for project are given.
