Modified Fraass brittle point test is used to study hardening of asphalts that accompanies accelerated weathering; four roofing asphalts exhibit variations in initial brittle point temperature that may be related to performance of materials in accelerated weathering test; progressive hardening accompanying weathering is followed by increase in brittle point temperature.
