Several examples of lakes connected by tunnels through mountains in British Columbia utilizing water to great advantage; Lake Coquitlam drained through mountain into Lake Buntzen; Bridge River is diverted by dam and 2 1/2-mi. tunnel through mountain on other side of which fall of 1300 ft. is obtained making possible development of 600,000 hp.
