Increasing production of steel in open hearth shops
Further large increase of output is possible by rational use of oxygen and by taking necessary measures to speed up charging and teeming in shops where there is, in certain sections, inadequate throughput capacity; use of oxygen also opens up extensive possibilities for improving construction of existing furnaces and of converting them into highly productive steelmaking units of new type.
