Propagation of pressure wave in valley aquifer resulting from flood wave in river is studied and water-table fluctuations are determined with object of fulfilling drainage requirements for drawdown and leaching; proposed treatment is applied to case of Nile Valley, Egypt in pre- and post-high-dam conditions; adequacy of natural drainage process is examined.
