Stresses in hyperboloids under edge loadings
Solution of bending of thin shells of revolution with negative Gaussian curvature is presented; this solution is derived from general theory presented by E.Reissner and later developed by P.M. Naghdi and C.N.Da Silva; behavior of hyperboloids of revolution under edge loading; experiments on small-scale model are described, first under rotationally symmetrical loading and second under concentrated loading.
