Load-deformation characteristics of elastomeric bridge bearing pads
Investigation by Enjay Laboratories and Univ of Rhode Island on effects of accelerated aging and load bearing properties at low temperatures of butyl rubber and chlorinated butyl rubber; results of evaluations demonstrated that butyl and chlorobutyl bearing pads were 2 to 3 times more flexible than neoprene pad and retained their low temperature flexibility advantage even after accelerated aging conditions.
