New method of constructing multiple-storey building
System of construction using temporary steel lattice frames was adopted for superstructure of Bilton Towers residential flats in London; superstructure is of ordinary reinforced concrete column-beam-and-slab construction up to first floor; cast-in situ reinforced concrete walls between first and second floors form deep beams which support entire structure above; from 2nd to 13th story-height precast concrete wall slabs and hollow tile floors are provided.
