Methods of rock bolting adopted in tunnel construction for Bhakra dam project; steep slopes upstream at chain 10 were bolted with 1 1/2-in. diam bolts 40-in. long, staggered at 10-ft intervals, while at steep slopes on switchyard site, bolts were of 1 1/4-in. diam and 30-ft long spread at 10 ft. c to c in square pattern.
