Nomographs for analyzing rigid gable frames
Use of coefficients for redundant moments can greatly simplify design procedure of rigid gable frames; coefficients are evaluated by formulating equilibrium matrix from general slope deflection equations, in terms of column length and gable height parameters, and solving matrix for practical ranges of these parameters by electronic computer; procedure is illustrated by analysis of single-span gable frame.
