Bersimis I is 1.2 mhp underground powerhouse that takes water from behind two rockfill dams through 7 1/2 mi lined tunnel; 855,000 hp Bersimis II installation is 5-unit powerhouse, situated alongside sheer granite mountain, through which 2700 ft power tunnel leads waters of Bersimis River; 280 ft high concrete dam and two earthfill dams provide storage.
