Asphaltic concrete sheet covering upstream face of Montgomery Dam, Colo, is watertight deck for coreless rockfill structure; in addition to "leveling course," 10 1/2 in. thick blanket of asphaltic concrete was put down in three continuous layers; asphaltic concrete contains approximately 8.5% of steam refined paving grade asphalt as binder.
