Dam is 113 ft high, 1950 ft long with 370 ft base-width, and it is paved with 20,000 tons of hot mixed asphalt concrete, in lieu of impervious core; four 3 in. layers of mix applied; asphalt controlled by thin-film test; aggregate gradation detailed; dump trucks and spreaders were held by winch cables; 97% density achieved by vibrating roller.
