Comparison of cement strengths in mortars and concretes
Report on program at Lone Star Cement Research Laboratory, Hudson, NY, to obtain data on some 70 sources of portland cement made at 15 domestic and 6 foreign plants of corporation; schedule included all ASTM chemical and physical tests on cements, pastes, and mortars, as well as such items as heat of hydration and sulphate resistance; cement contents of mixes were 3.6, 4.5, 6, 7.5 and 9 sacks per cu yd; total fineness modulus of 4.85 was used for plain concrete.
