New steel bridge at Crockett, Calif is built 200 ft upstream from existing bridge; both bridges are of same shape and geometry, and consist of two 1100-ft long main spans, two 500-ft anchor spans, and 150-ft central tower span; new structure represents latest in modern design by making use of new steels, high strength steel bolts for joint connections and fabrication by welding of truss members.
