Fatigue tests of prestressed concrete beams pretensioned with 1-2 strands
Continuation of fatigue tests made on beams with 7/16 in. strands by A.M. OZELL and E.ARDAMAN (see Engineering Index 1956 p 109); fatigue machine of constant deflection type used for pressure tests; load was applied approximately 80 times per min and deflection range was from 0 to 1.75 in.; use of 1/2 in. strands was found feasible; flexural fatigue strength was 2.0 times design load; data on fatigue failures.
