Fatigue tests of prestressed concrete I beams with depressed strands
Tests conducted to study detrimental effect of hold-down points under repetitive loading in beams which have depressed tendons; of 6 beams tested, no strand failure occurred at or near bend of hold-downs; it is concluded that depressing prestressing tendons with hold-downs does not cause adverse effect on fatigue life of beams.
