Reticulated space structures
Various problems of shell analysis are outlined; different types of reticulated space structures are compared, with weight parameters given for dome structures; five general methods of analysis are discussed, including stiffness approach, continuum shell analogy, concepts of discrete field mechanics, split rigidity concepts, and use of models; physical characteristics are examined from which effects of deflections and edge conditions may be considered; general and local buckling formulas are presented.
