Particulars of crane built by Krupp-Ardelt, which forms part of equipment of new drydock for construction of vessels of up to 700, 000 tons at Kockums Mekaniska Verkstads AB; essentially, it comprises bridge girder rigidly attached at one end to pier leg, while other end rests on shear legs by means of spherical joint, providing kinematic support of structure; maximum height under hook is 197 ft, height to top of bridge girder 216 ft 2 in. and to top of auxiliary crane 252 ft 7 in.; length of bridge girder is 297 ft 10 in.; crane moves on 2200-ft long rail track, has 24 wheels on each side, etc. (06505)
