Calculation of thermal stresses in bulk concrete structures in conditions of linearly varying elasticity modulus; thermal stresses which arise in cooling off of concrete warmed up by heat of hydration are considered; temperature distribution and thermal stresses in concrete slab subject to surface cooling are calculated assuming linear rise of temperature during concrete setting; solutions of heat conduction equation based on theta-functions and their integrals enable easy determination of temperature and stress characteristics; results are shown in generally applicable dimensionless graphs.
