Texas bridge footing shafts drilled and under-reamed
Illustrated description of foundation of South Concho River Bridge in San Angelo, Tex; hole was drilled down to limestone and footing then reamed to proper size; 30-in. steel casing was placed in hole and driven into underlaying soft shale, sealing off groundwater; prefabricated steel column was set and concrete placed.
