Drilled, reamed holes for bridge foundation piles
Construction of pile supports for continuous solid slab bridge across San Pedro Creek in San Antonio, Tex; holes for 18-in. circular piles were excavated by modified gasoline rotary weld drilling rig mounted on old truck chassis; steel pipe with 3/8 in. walls and welded seams, driven several inches into clay, served as casing for reinforced concrete piles cast in place.
