Calculation of double section built-up wooden members
It is pointed out that German standard DIN 1052 gives relatively narrow margin of stress values which are in agreement with actual tests; numerous tests on such members with glued, bolted or nailed joints, were carried out based on results obtained and on suggestions of E. MELAN for calculation of steel compression members, new method of calculation is evolved.
