Plastic analysis of orthotropic circular plates
Limit analysis is used to determine collapse loads and velocity fields of rigid-perfectly plastic, orthotropic circular plates; anisotropy is described by modified Tresca yield condition; various boundary conditions are considered; results indicate that influence of anisotropy varies greatly from case to case; design charts are constructed and example is presented for design of pressure vessel head.
