New precast concrete pile
Compile developed by Composite Piling Ltd, of Kingston-upon-Hull is described that features wholly-precast, sectional and driven pile in range of sizes approaching those of caissons; cast vertically in cylindrical hollow sections of convenient length, Compile is driven by fully mobile piling plant, pontoon-mounted where necessary; sections are successively cable-tensioned during driving to form fully-monolithic finished column; joints between sections are completely waterproofed by synthetic rubber diaphragms, compressed under stress and guaranteed to resist seawater, acids, petroleum and most chemicals.
