Dome coaches for twin "Zephyrs"
Vista Dome passenger cars built by Budd Co for Chicago, Burlington and Quincy, will be assigned to "Twin Zephyrs" in service between Chicago and St. Paul-Minneapolis; coaches, of stainless steel construction, are 85 ft long coupled, 9 ft 3 1/4 in. wide inside, 15 ft 10 in. high above rail over Vista Dome, and seat 54 at normal floor level and 24 in Vista Dome compartment; roof structure, structural tests, air conditioning system, and brakes described.
