Experiments on non-sway structural subassemblages
Experiments were conducted on full-scale, non-sway beam-and-column subassemblages to study their strength and deformation behavior in inelastic range; tests provide experimental verification of new procedure that was developed for designing columns in braced multi-story frames; included were subassemblages with columns bent in single and in double curvature; beams were proportioned for their plastic mechanism strength, and columns were so selected that they had enough capacity to resist maximum moment transmitted from beams.
