Strength and deformation characteristics of anisotropically consolidated Kaolinite clay
Consolidation characteristics of natural clay strata differed from those obtained from oedometer and hydrostatic consolidation tests; modified triaxial testing technique to study mechanical behavior of natural deposit was used to obtain strength deformation properties of Kaolinite clay; results are used to develop expressions for volumetric and axial strains and to study at rest condition.
