Strength behavior of anisotropically consolidated remolded clay
Investigation is concerned with effect of secondary inherent strength anisotropy caused by variation of consolidation stress path and principal consolidation stress ratio on strength response of homogeneous clay; strength characteristics are influenced by initial soil structure before anisotropic consolidation; stress path followed to obtain given principal consolidation stress ratio influences soil response; pore-pressure values during strength test decrease with increasing values of principal consolidation stress ratio; water content for given octahedral normal consolidation stress decreases with increasing values of principal consolidation stress difference.
