Deposition of suspended particles in gravel bed
It is shown that silt particles moving in suspension in flow over clean gravel bed will deposit in this bed; in uniform bed probability of depositing at any place is proportional to availability of silt particles; if no additional silt particles become available along bed, deposition reduces exponentially along bed; half-life for staying in suspension is proportional to water depth and inversely proportional to settling velocity of silt particles.
