400-ft long conveyor is being used to place 6 1/2 million yd of fill on levee in southern Florida; unusual barge-mounted machine was assembled to carry rock borrow that is blasted out of bottom of canal beside levee; 10-yd floating dragline scoops marl rock off canal bottom and dumps it into rock crusher mounted on same barge as conveyor; belt picks up crushed rock and carries it to 200-ft wide levee.
