Concentrated prestressing tendons
Concentrated tendon will reduce prestressing cable's cross-sectional area to absolute minimum, ensuring that post tensioning duct will take up as little percentage of cross-sectional area of beam as possible; this is achieved by concentrating all needed prestressing steel in single, usually rectangular, sheet-metal duct; system is most suitable for long-span bridges with heavy traffic loads where large prestressing forces are involved.
