Analog study of heating in survival shelters
Variation of air temperature and humidity under summer conditions inside underground survival shelter was studied for 6 locations in United States; solution of problem was accomplished by electronic analog computation, and results indicate that survival may be seriously endangered in South, Southwest, and Midwest; effects of variation of earth temperature, earth and concrete thermal properties, ventilation air flow rate, number of shelter occupants, and shelter dimensions were studied.
