Procedure for placing plastic lining of thin polyethylene sheet in 3 mi section of delivery canal in Utah is described; plastic in position with upper edges was buried in anchor trenches; 3 lengths of 20-ft plastic were required with 2 longitudinal joints; cover material for bottom of canal was placed by dragline; layer of gravel was placed over fine-textured fill along top of bank to prevent erosion.
