Material along course of Yellowstone feeder canal in Utah ranges from fine bentonitic material to coarse gravel containing boulders; seepage along canal required constant maintenance especially section in coarser material; as emergency measure, fine bentonitic material was used for lining; after seepage measurements, three types of linings were used; buried asphaltic membrane (sprayed), buried asphaltic membrane (prefabricated) gravel covered earth lining and concrete.
