Test devised for measuring fundamental frequency of reinforced concrete floors; holes were drilled in first- and second-story floors; steel cable with attached extensometer and length of round steel bar was anchored to floors; tension was applied with winding tackle; vibrations generated by cutting steel bar and releasing tension were registered by oscillograph placed on second-story floor.
