Reconstruction of deptford creek bridge
Double leaf rolling lift bridge to replace structure damaged by bombing; new bridge has clear span of 70 ft, width of 70 ft between parapets, comprising two footways and two carriageways, and is electrically operated; abutments are of mass concrete; three main steel girders carry deck, and rest on steel quadrants which roll on tracks carried on grillages.
