Whitewash and its application to underground roadways
Whitewashing as means of getting rid of coal dust on main roads; illumination also appreciably improved; thick scale of lime adheres to roof and sides of roads, choking up crevices and preventing lodgment of coal dust; whitewashing assists in detection and removal of dust; distribution by means of hand-pump or spraying machine.
