New structure is 639 ft. long and comprises 280-ft. steel arch and six girder spans on reinforced-concrete piers and abutments; much consideration given to appearance; handrail carried out in special quartzite concrete; lighting of bridge is by means of cast-iron fluted standards carrying ornamental bronze lighting units; in addition to telephone and electric light conduits, bridge carries 20-in. steel pipe sewer and 12-in. water main.
