Practical aspects of salt-crust process for binding mine roadway dust
Dust deposited at rates which would necessitate stone dusting up to three times weekly was entrapped by salt layer in 2-day cycles; treatment resulted in hard walking surface, but not in reduction of airborne dust, except insofar as this has been due to re-dispersion of floor dust. (see also Instn Min Engrs -- Trans v 116 pt 11 Aug 1957 p 989-1012 (discussion) 1012-7)
