Design of Neath and Briton Ferry viaducts
Two viaducts situated on new Neath Bypass in South Wales on re-aligned main London-Fishguard road; lengths of viaducts approximately 2000 and 1000 ft respectively and consist in all of 28 spans; dominant feature is bridge at mouth of Neath River of 300-ft span at height of 90 ft above MHW; construction consists of superstructure of steel plate girders.
