Calibration of weirs using rate of pondage drawdown
Quick method of calibrating weirs uses rate of fall in level of upstream water; in some circumstances calibration can be extended to cover greater flows than are usually available; method can also be used for field calibration of irrigation structures, drop structures in channels, and in some cases, other large hydraulic structures.
