Weir and Flume Calibration by Pondage Drawdown
The results of a laboratory study into the pondage drawdown method of weir and flume calibration are described. The accuracy of the method is assessed by application to five different types of flow measuring structures, and, as a result, a general calibration technique and procedure for analysis is developed. When compared with volumetric calibrations, differences are within those obtainable by more conventional techniques.
