Crushable materials for structural blast shields
Approximate analytical method is presented for evaluating effects on structural response of blast shields composed of crushable materials; it is assumed that structure can be represented by mass spring system with constant restoring force and that shield is composed of rigid-locking material; analysis gives response of idealized shield-structure model to initial peak triangular pulse loadings.
